details: 3Com OfficeConnect ADSL Wireless 108 Mbps 11g Firewall Router
hardware type: DSL Wireless Router
date added: 2010-09-08

The WL-553 (3CRWDR200B-75) is an ADSL2+ wireless router with one RJ-11 WAN port and four 10/100Base-T LAN ports. eXtended Range technology provides wider wireless coverage and eliminates dead spots in corporate wireless LANs.

The integrated AP complies with IEEE 802.11g standard, providing wireless transmission speeds of up to 108Mbps. It is WDS compatible and provides WEP and WPA/WPA2 wireless encryption. It also uses WMM (QoS) to prioritize the traffic over the network.

The router provides VPN pass-through for IPSec, L2TP and PPTP. It features a built-in SPI firewall to protect the network against Denial of Service (DoS) attacks.

The WL-553 can be easily configured via Web-based configuration utility or via SNMP.
