Hughes satellite modems could allow a remote attacker to bypass security restrictions, caused by the lack of authentication for telnet service (Port 1953). By using telnet client to connect port 1953, an attacker could exploit this vulnerability to bypass access restrictions and gain administrative access on the modem.
