YouTube Premium's family plan gets a price hike in several countries2022-10-21 18:03 by DanielaTags: YouTube Premium
YouTube is raising prices for its Premium subscription plans across many countries including the U.S., the U.K., Canada, and Argentina. News of the price hike emerged after several users in these regions received emails about a rise that will be effective from November 21. The family plan is jumping over 27 percent in the US, from $17.99 to $22.99. So far, it does not seem like the single-person YouTube Premium price (still $11.99 per month) is going up. "This update will allow us to develop even more Premium features and continue to support the creators and artists you watch on YouTube," the YouTube Premium team wrote in the email to subscribers. The family plan lets a user share ad-free YouTube Premium with up to five same-household family members for a discounted rate. You also get the ability to play videos in the background while you're doing something else, or when the screen is locked on your phone. You’re also able to save videos for offline viewing. And YouTube Music is included as well, ad-free. You also get ad-free and offline playback in the YouTube Kids app. Read more -here-
