YouTube introduces "Playables" game library2024-05-29 19:04 by DanielaTags: YouTube, Playables
YouTube has announced the introduction of over 75 games to its platform, all of which can be played in-browser or via the YouTube mobile app. Over the past few months, the game library - referred to by YouTube as "Playables"- has been made available to select users in certain markets, but the company announced this week Playables is being expanded. Playables can be accessed via a user's browser or iOS device (no word yet on Android compatibility), and the current selection consists of simple-yet-engaging games similar to those found on Google Play and the App Store. And in addition to saving progress, Playables also records a user's high scores, again offering a reason to return and improve over time. YouTube began its foray into gaming last year, offering Playables to YouTube Premium subscribers. That initial phase had far fewer games and was only around for a relatively limited amount of time, with the phase wrapping up in March of this year. Read more -here-
