Ticketfly hacked, taken offline

San Francisco-based ticket company Ticketfly has temporarily gone offline after saying it was the "target of a cyber incident."
The hacker appears to have compromised Ticketfly's webmaster, as the defaced sites are served with Ticketfly's HTTPS certificate intact. The hack also affected a number of Ticketfly's sites simultaneously — including Brooklyn Bowl, Pearl Street Warehouse, and Lafayette Theater — which may have served through the same system. The company didn't comment on whether any user information, such as credit card data, had been stolen in the cyberattack.
"Out of an abundance of caution, we have taken all Ticketfly systems temporarily offline as we continue to look into the issue," the company said across its many properties. "We realize the gravity of this decision, but the security of client and customer data is our top priority," a Ticketfly spokeswoman said in an email.
Visiting the Ticketfly site now surfaces the message, "All Ticketfly and related systems are temporarily offline. Please check back for updates" and attempting to purchase tickets on the websites for individual concerts or festivals (such as Riot Fest, which just announced its lineup) leads to a "404 Not Found" error.
Ticketfly counts more than 1,200 leading venues and promoters as partners, including Merriweather Post Pavilion, Bowery Ballroom, the Brooklyn Bowl, Central Park SummerStage, Pitchfork Music Festival, and The Troubadour.
