Sprint is now offering a $15-a-month unlimited plan for people who want to switch carriers and get their service from Sprint. This special offer requires porting a number from another carrier. You can't just start a new line of service.

The new limited-time deal "Unlimited Kickstart" will give you unlimited data, talk and text for $15 a month per line, provided you sign up to use AutoPay. At $60 for four lines, it is $40 cheaper a month than the $100 Sprint currently charges for four lines of its Unlimited Freedom plan. Rivals AT&T and Verizon each charge $160 for their cheapest unlimited plans.

T-Mobile, which is in the process of merging with Sprint, also charges $160 a month for four lines, though that price also includes the taxes and fees.

The promotional plan does not include any hotspot functionality whatsoever. It launches today, June 8th. Also of note is that your video streams will be limited to 480p, your music streams will be limited to 500kbps, and your gaming streams will top out at 2Mbps. You'll also be subject to data deprioritization during times of network congestion.
