Sling TV Internet TV service officially launches

Dish Network Corp. has officially launched its Internet TV service called "Sling TV" throughout the U.S. It aims to attract consumers who have cancelled their cable or satellite TV service or never had one. Previously, the service was available via beta invitation only.

For a flat fee of $20 per month, Sling TV provides a variety of channels, including ESPN, ESPN2, TNT, TBS, Food Network, HGTV, Cartoon Network, ABC Family, Disney Channel. Even more - Sling TV has now added AMC, home of shows such as Mad Men, The Walking Dead, and the upcoming Better.

Still, the service does not cover all regions of the USA. It's now available for a host of devices, including Android smartphones and tablets, Roku, iOS, and PC. It is expected soon to be supported by Amazon Fire, Google's Nexus players, select Samsung TVs and XBox One. Owners of Android smartphones and tablets, can download the app from the Google Play Store.
