Microsoft has made its last attempt to force Windows 7 and Windows 8 users to upgrade to Windows 10. Now, instead of showing a small notification pop-up in the bottom right corner of the screen, the upgrade prompt takes up the full screen.

The new kind of notification informs users of the July 29 deadline for the free upgrade to Windows 10.

"This notification is a reminder that the Windows 10 free upgrade offer ends on July 29, 2016. Microsoft recommends that you upgrade to Windows 10 before the offer expires," Microsoft said in a blog post. "You can choose to upgrade directly from the notification, dismiss the notification permanently, or choose to be reminded later."

Windows 10 was released nearly a year ago on 29th July 2015, and since then, Microsoft's has been desparately trying to persuade users to upgrade to it.
