Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox share keeps shrinking

According to a recent research, Internet Explorer's market share keeps shrinking. 55.92% of users around the world have used some version of IE in March, while the results for April show only 55.11%. However, its new IE9 version managed to surpass one smaller rival, Opera.

The use of Mozilla Firefox has also decreased from 21.8% in March to 21.63% in April, despite the launch of Firefox 4. In contrast to these figures, Apple's Safari browser registers increased usage - from 6.61% in March to 7.15% in April. 1.2% comes from iPhones, 0.8% from iPads, and 0.2% from iPod Touches.

Similarly, Google's Chrome browser usage share rise from 11.57% in March to 11.94% in April.
