Codeweavers releases Crossover Linux 92010-03-16 11:12 by DanielaTags: Linux, Microsoft, Windows
Software house CodeWeavers has released Crossover Linux 9. Crossover Linux 9 lets you run many Windows applications under Linux. Formerly called Crossover Office, it apparently can handle all versions of Microsoft Office from 97 through 2007 including Microsoft Visio, Outlook and Project, Internet Explorer 6, Quicken, Lotus Notes, Adobe Photoshop and Framemaker. Crossover Linux is based on the open source project Wine and provides automated installation of and support for Windows applications. The latest version sports a better user interface, is easier to install and comes with technical support. It runs under 32-bit versions of Debian, Ubuntu and other Linux distributions, and it works equally well with both KDE and Gnome desktop environments. Read more -here-
