Google has officially announced Android Wear, a version of the operating system designed specifically for wearable devices. It is collaborating with top names in both tech and fashion to create Android Wear devices, which will have touch screens and start to arrive this summer. The search giant is already working with brands like HTC, LG, Samsung, Qualcomm and high-end watch maker Fossil. Android Wear, like Google Glass, will rely on Google Now and the voice command, "Ok Google" to ask questions or fire off a text message. The OS is designed to provide relevant information, as well as notifications from social apps, alerts from your messaging apps, and notifications from shopping, news, and photography apps. In addition, Motorola and LG have already revealed their first Android Wear smartwatches. Motorola's first device is called the Moto 360, and from the company-provided video, we can see that it is with round shape. Motorola's smartwatch will be globally available in several styles, including leather and metal bands. You can sign up for Motorola's mailing list to get updated when it's officially available. LG announced its G Watch, an Android Wear-powered smartwatch which is rectangular. The company said it will announce more details next month, though the watch should be expected in the second quarter of 2014. Price, specs, and precise release dates for the two devices were not announced. Read more -here- Watch the videos here:
