Amazon on Wednesday announced two new Echo smart speakers, including one with a funky, semisphere design, and a revamped version of its Echo Buds headphones.

The company introduced the Echo Pop, which sports a new, semisphere-like form factor, a front-facing speaker and a built-in Eero, extending users' mesh Wi-Fi coverage. The Echo Pop will cost $39.99, making it cheaper than many of Amazon's existing Echo devices.

The Echo Show 5 has a new sleek look with some design tweaks to provide better sound than older models. The speaker system has been redesigned to provide double the bass compared to previous generations and crisper sound.

The Echo Show 5 Kids has all of the same features described above with the addition of different elements geared towards children. The biggest difference is the exterior which has a rainbow, galaxy-themed design. The speaker also has kid-friendly Alexa responses, explicit lyric filtering, jokes, and the ability to help with homework.

Lastly, the $50 Echo Buds true-wireless earbuds are a stripped-down version of the existing $120 Echo Buds, without active noise canceling. They do have the same 20-hour battery life, however. The design is more AirPod-like, with long stems, than the Echo Buds, and Amazon says the fit is more comfortable than before.

The Echo Pop, Echo Show 5 and Echo Show 5 Kids are expected to start shipping on May 31, and the Echo Buds on June 7.
