This works

string test = String.Format("{0:yyyy-MM-01 00:00:00:000}", saveNow);

Now I want to know this. How would I subtract one month from the current month?

I'm glad I'm not the only one

I also live in Grants Pass, and have the exact same problem. I also run into the horrible slow down around 10pm to midnight... wish I had an answer for the problem, though.

Make sure you open a command prompt... then type in:

tasklist /svc
Should give you a list...

I've got MCE on my laptop... As far as I can see, the only difference is the Media Center app (it will sit in your sys tray). If you're going to be watching or recording video (HDTV and the like), it's pretty nice... But, I hear that MythTV is pretty similar...

I just downloaded Debian (sarge) and I'm having a heck of a time getting my vid card and onboard NICs installed.

I've got the MSI K8n Neo4 platinum, it's a nice mobo. There's all kinds of overclocking options available in Bios, and I've had no problems with it whatsoever.

Apparently, if you have EZCD Creator 5 or later on your computer and you uninstall it, it will leave some remnants in the registry that will not allow windows to load the drivers for the drives...

Win2k not loading drivers for DVD and CDRW

Here's the problem. I fire up my computer the other day and go into my computer and there are no E and F drives! (DVD and CDRW, respectively). So, I checked in hardware manager and it gives me this error message:

Windows was unable to load the drivers for this device. Error Code 31

I went ahead ...

Well, I haven't had a chance to do a system report yet, but I'm gonna give O&O defrag a shot. And, it freezes totally, as in the mouse stops moving and Ctrl+alt+del doesn't do anything. I'll post again tomorrow after my job interview...

Well, I tried in Safe Mode and had the same problem. According to Cacheman, I have over 100MB free all the time, so I still don't know what the problem is... :(

Windows 2000 freezes when I try to defrag

I've tried diskeeper, windows defrag, norton speed disk, and nothing seems to work! It anyalyzes just fine, but about 10 seconds into actually moving data, my computer freezes up. Here's what's running in the background:

system idle process
system
SMSS.EXE
WINLOGON.EXE
CSRSS.EXE
SERVICES.EXE
LSASS ...

Umm, your problem might be your OS. I had WinME on my computer for about a year and it froze on me constantly. I went out and got Win2k and it solved my problems. It may not be economically viable for you, but that's my suggestion...
