In the breaker box, what are the white wires supposed to be connected too??

I have a ground from outside tied into the household ground wires and the white wires.

I thought the white wire carried electricity too, so I contacted my father-in-law, who is an electrician, an he gave me the idea based on the fact that in the breaker box, all the white wires get tied into the bare ground wires using the ground bars anyway.

is this wrong??

In the electrical outlet of computer "B", I ran a jumper wire from the green ground screw to the screws with the white wires rebooted everything, and it all started working fine. Obviously I have a ground problem somewhere in the line but this bandaid will do fine until I track it down.

thanks guys

Why not try to utilize the burst speeds that you get at the beginning of downloading web pages or programs?

Can a program be made that would refresh your transfer to maintain the burst speeds? Say refresh every few seconds or refresh at a minimum transfer speed?

Now that would be something!!!

Thanks guys for your help.

I went back to my originals after trying the others as they seemed to get the best result. (513920)

I used to do speeds like Cameron's speeds so there must be something missed somewhere. I had use a simple, automatic program some time ago that seemed to kick the door ...

I do not have TCP window size in cablenut, just Default and Global. I also am not running W2K or XP, I am running WinME.

My last speed test at RWIN 373360 was 1322 dn / 268 up

Should I try the suggested RWIN by Lobo since I don't use W2k or XP??
