Well, I let MSN Messenger and Fix-It Utilities start up, I think that is the only delay I see when my desktop comes up... but there IS a delay.

Haven't tried different speaker, fairly sure they are ok though.

This is the driver I am using... the XP site wouldnt let me d/l it, so I got it right from Creative Labs.

Gotta be the same driver, Windows XP Update says Im caught up now...

I still have the same problem :confused:

Nice example, the 1000Mhz machine can d/l the same file in about 30% less time... which means the 1000Mhz machine is faster... which means Lobo and I are correct.

Like I said... I see this everyday... it is a fact.

The only part of my connection that runs at 100Mbps is between my PC and SB4100... NYR 56 if you are faster than I am Hooray!

MILEY maybe try taking that SB4100 off of USB and running a NIC in your machine?

I think XP is returning the speed of the connection between your PC and your cable modem...

An SB4100 with everything set to auto-detect will show 100.0 Mbps.

Here they claim a cap at 2Mb down and 356k up, but it is actually capped at 2.3Mb down and 356k up. Fastest I can go is about 2.1Mb down and 353k up. Tweaked.
