Have you tried to install 2 hard drives on the promise controller and just use it without enabling the raid function? I would like to get one of these boards but I dont want to run raid.

I just installed Windows XP "Corporate" and me speed sucks, I have chater cable and a linksys 4 port router. The other machines on the network run fast with Windows 98se. Anyone got any tweaks for XP?

Can't get into my router settings
I had charter Pipeline installed yesterday and the tech set my router up for me, both pc's can see each other and access the net but when I try and get into the router setting by 192.168.1.1
it says the page cannot be displayed anyone know what is wrong?

I'm going to set up a dual boot system with either me/2000 or 98/2000. I have 2 hard drives a 20gig and a 4.8gig. The 20 gig is the faster of the two, I was thinking of splitting the 20 in half for ME and 2000 and having the 4.8 for mp3's, downloads, ect. What do you guys think?
