Removing the comcast software...
I did something really stupid the other day... I installed the software Comcast sent me. Anyone know how to uninstall it? It's not showing up under add/remove. Might sound stupid, but I really hate having the lame spinning 'C' logo in the upper right hand corner of IE and Outlook, and having ...

Monthly transfer limit and Comcast

Did Comcast@Home change something?
I run an FTP server on a linux box, for personal use(sharing files between home and office mostly). A few weeks ago I tried connecting to it from work, it took about 2 minutes for the login text to pop up. When I finally managed to log-in and tried getting a file, the throughput speed was just under ...

Timestamps
I got this from the TCP Analyzer:
Timestamps (RFC1323) = ON
Note: Timestamps add 12 bytes to the TCP header of each packet, reducing the space available for useful data.
How do I set this to off?
Thanks

You can get a 10/100 Linksys card for as low as $10. I have one in 4 of my computers and have experienced no problems so far. Unless you are hosting a server or something you should be fine with any card. I will admit that my 5th computer a Linux server(web, ftp, game) has a 3com 10/100 card in it ...

IE6
Anyone else running IE6? Just dled it today, seems to be running pretty smoothly, lots more advanced features too, but the look is the same(like IE5) which is a good thing IMO.

What error does it give when it can't connect to an irc server or icq or whatever. Do you have a firewall? I assume you have a router/hub/switch which both you and your dad are connected to, plz specify which one it is. Can you access any shares on his computer? Are you sure that you still have a ...
