I D/L this game and have played it too. I am now doing the Single Missions because in the Campaign mode I got about 3-4 leves into the game and then "Hello, Base!! I'm alone in a forest and everyone is Dead!!" "Hello, Base!! Why can't they hear me?"

Keep in mind the latest Worm Virus which attacked many systesm.

I believe some ISP's are still experiencing slow downs from purging their systems and the Netwrk Admins haven't tweaked them back up yet. :D

I haven't tested my new 811k down speed yet with some streaming media. I think I'll go watch ...

Hi.

I'm assuming that you do have the 640/90 Tim and you happen to live near one of the main routers. That's what usually gives you high speeds, but really Odd times/rates. Like sometimes it's fast and next month you may experience new speeds.

I think you need to keep the RcvWindow you posted last ...

MTU seems to be optimized for PPPoE... If you are not on a PPPoE connection, consider increasing your MTU to 1500 for optimal throughput.

I'm just wondering how this Windowsize would work for you?

286160

I worked this one out from your MSS. (1460 * 7) * 4 = 286160
Let me know if it's any good for you.

Then if that is no good. Go back to:

10220

I have another suggestion. This is used for RasPPPoE but it might work in any situation. If you use DSL then you should remove the TCP/IP protocal Binded to the NIC. Only remove the TCP/IP for the NIC. Do not remove the DialUpAdapter tcp/ip Ever....

Removing the tcp/ip for the NIC will speed up ...

New RcvWindow size

Here I changed my RcvWindow size to 30492. Anything higher brings down my speed right now. I tried 37752 but it was a bit too high for me. My provider says my LINE is 1.2Meg. But most only will get 900k streaming.

Now post the Always on Connection for Win2000 that's what Tim has.

Remember, always backup your registry before making any changes. If you don't know to edit registry then ask someone who knows.

Have you done a Speed test with your latest post????

Your RcvWindow limits you to: 10278.4 kbps (1284.8 KBytes/s) @ 200ms
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 4111.36 kbps (513.92 KBytes/s) @ 500ms

Sorry my bad. I forgot that the RecieveWindowLimits is just calculated as a constant. It doesn't actually reflect the Speeds you are getting. TCP/IP is NOT a speed tester! I get it now. :p

IPMTU registry setting

Oh yeah, forgot to mention this change that I also made to my reg. I'm trying to be thorough here as there seems to be alot of people getting 1500MTU when it's not set to that.

Look at this Key in your registry:
