On my CM100 modem keeps resettings . I called the ISP provider and said it was the Transmit signal being to high. But I had my cell phone in the room as well. Could a cell phone be causing this far as electrical interference. Took it downstairs seems ok now.

Cable company said I need a DOCsis 3 modem, wouldn't I have to get the file from them?

Better today-Re routed all cables=Very Happy

New modem by tech today-tweaks much better. New cables go in Monday he said better, but more important on set up. We are on Fiber Optic lines =)

Not bad results, but I had the worst virus ever ecounterd in years(Combo Fix even tried), and reformatted. My gamings been suffering the last few days, can tell the difference. Constant ping for months stayed the same 10. Now higher and reaction time ingame way off. Game is Halo CE

On most of Gameservers were we play Halo-Severe lag on several different servers-No beep when hitting someone or right above-shoot & nothing..
Could it be Windows 7?

Charter replaced Modem-Installed splitter -3.5 turned down signal outside (to much above specs-High)

Charter installed splitter with -3.3 out too strong signal..? We are playing UK team so stronger the better. Was warping today-lagging could have been server. 134 ping UK-163 with splitter

Tinkered with all evening-Charter said Modenm was bad 1.54 D/L .98 U/L much better. Was laggy
Anymore tweaks used TCOptimizer

Not sure but, seems steady pings of 40's from server that was in high 140's now. Fairly happy with results. Even though not optimized for u/l-d/l pings better at lower settings.

Just had cable tech here to rewire cable with excessive resistance. Getting some very unusual spikes at times still issues. Speeds spiking up-down.....hoped it was fixed..

Stonecat you are right :thumb: , I'll go back to basics in days on Unreal. I can lower latency, I've defeated my purpose increasing D/L for higher latency. Time to cough down tweak MTU, slower D/L but thats fine. :nod: Just got idea on setting I tweak dial up at...

Using program D/L great, like to have bit better Upload but being happy with what you got a good thing. seems pings up-down, maybe Xmas holiday nodes loaded? Have the phone-internet-tv bundle great services phone my fav.

Just don't D/L much, upload ...

Both disabled Antialiasing -AF in Nvidia console set to Performace. running everything low end graphics. Desktop setting using 16bit nor 32.

GG, just installed Kaspersky ComputerBild version. Pings went up and I just got everything tweaked using Optimizer- :rolleyes: Tweak a weeked with Opt.-Cablenut. Upload bit slow...

Halo is game I play on-off there's some good players out there..You;d thing the International players ping would be a lot higher than they are. Some as good as those in the US..

Trying out their 20meg now, but from results off target.

Intense online to say the least, better get used to maps again. I forgot how fast paced this was! LoL
Loaded Explorer 8 all worked fine, no lag in that one..=^)

Be great to get some of folks back into these, we play Halo first one a lot. 3 just sits on shelf next to the 360 box lol...not same nowadays-No keyboard & mouse.

Used the TCPOptimizer, on Pingtest.net went from 73 Ping to 43-49 :D with 0% packet loss. Possible to get better results? Used the optimal settings and compared to test yesterday. Did have to reformat virus on another site (music site) :rolleyes:
