When using Intel Priority Packet 3: Windows QoS Packet Scheduler needed?
When I use Intel Priority packet 3 with my Intel NIC, do I need to install the Win2003/XP QoS Pacjet Scheduler protocol in Network Connections? Or does the Intel operate on it's own?

Possible conflict or speed problems?
Hi there,
I use a Speedtouch 546 for my ADSL modem. Behind the modem i've put an Asus WL-500gP router, which connects to 1 wired PC, two wirelss PC's and a wireless mediaplayer.
Now both modems are set to act in their defailt setting: home gateway, all option enabled. Both use a different subnet ...

I was wondering if anyone had specific tips on how to optimize my internal LAN
Reason for this is that I have a wireless mediaplayer and like to optimize the connection from my PC thru the router/AP to the mediaplayer.
PC is running Server 2003 Ent., NIC is Intel pro/1000 (but no gigabit ...

DisableUserTOSvalue causes lost connection
When I add this entry to use Qos settings (set it to 0) there is no connection possible anymore.
Can anyone explain why this happens?
Edit:
I got it to work, but now TOS/QOS still doesn't seem to work.
QOS packet scheduler running, settings in registry OK (TCP Optimizer). But still no mention in ...
