Passive FTP was already disabled in his browser settings. I forgot to mention that I couldnt RDC into my home box on a VZE connection either. I believe setting the MTU to 1300 fixed it. Aside from my friend entering the wrong account info...

I tried to set up my 2 WAP54G's again (one as an AP and one as a repeater) with WPA-PSK enabled. I used the 2.08 firmware. Again, Linksys CLEARLY STATES that this new firmware supports WPA-PSK in repeater mode!

The WAP54G does NOT work in repeater mode while running WPA encryption. Dont even TRY it.
Even though the linksys website CLAIMS that it will work, it just plain doesnt...

ok I was told by an aol rep that i could order just the highspeed from comcast and then go with a diff provider and only have to pay half the regular amount cause i would have to pay say 10-15 for the highspeed then additional 10 for the internet making it 20-25 for everthing with no fees going up ...

If they are on broadband, go into the options, log in properties, and select ENABLE START BEFORE WINDOWS LOGON and then restart. When the user hit CTRL+ALT+DEL, the Cisco VPN software will come up. Enable VPN pass-through, or disable the VPN filter. You will find this in the router set-up page. On Linksys its usually http://192.168.1.1 .

Go to Linksys' website and download the latest firmware for your router. MAKE SURE YOU GET THE CORRECT VERSION (ex. WRT54Gv1, WRT54Gv1.1. WRT54Gv2, WRT54Gv2.2)! Look under the bottom of the router and you will see a sticker identifying your router. Again, MAKE SURE YOU DOWNLOAD THE CORRECT FIRMWARE ...
