1776CC, single solex 34 carb I think... ( the stock one) slightly bigger jets, 044 heads from CB performance and after the cop incident. I switched to dual quit pack. The other exhaust was pissing off the neighbor. Oh the cam was a 110 engle.

Great story. What size motor and what kind of carb(s)? I had a 69 with a 1914cc 20+ years ago when I was broke, but I've always loved the older bugs and one day I'd like to grab an old one and do it properly.

Yep, it was 35 yrs. ago today that my brother and I saw Elvis at the Tampa Jai-Alai Fronton, also on the ticket was Nick Lowe and Mink Deville...price was $5.00.

We were front row and it was unbelievably awesome for me.....don't think Mark was much into Elvis but he bought the tickets for my 16th ...

Thanks for the link, disturbing but I will definitely want to see the movie. I saw wild albatrosses for the first time on Thanksgiving morning. There is an amazing reserve a few miles from were I live that protects their eggs from the feral rats and mice. I managed to catch this guy in flight

Yep all of Maui Brew Co beers and many others are purely cans or slowly switching. Oskar Blues makes an excellent Imperial Stout that comes in at 10.5%, one of my favorites.

Awesome! If I ever get to Maui, that brewery is on my list. They had an Imperial Coconut porter at the Stone festival last year. Definitely give that one a try if they have it on tap.

I've had my T3 for about 4 months now and I love it. It's certainly not useless as is, but he will probably want a zoom lens at some point, then maybe other lenses later.
