Re-install question

Post by 24giovanni »

i have a tri-boot system with 2 hard drives. the 1st HD has windows 7 on it. The other HD has both win 8 installed 1st and then win 8.1 installed on it. If I have to reformat the drive with windows 8 on it and install win 8 again will that affect anything or will it be safe to do?

Plz let me know.

thx

Might have to run a repair with 8.1...depends how you partitioned it out.
You'll have to reinstall programs that were in 8.

Check out virtualization like hyper-v, virtualpc, xen, vmware.....so much easier than the old multi-booting.

Why bother having Windows 8 & 8.1 side by side? There's so little difference between them.
No one has any right to force data on you
and command you to believe it or else.
If it is not true for you, it isn't true.

Nothing wrong with 8 or 8.1. He has stated that he had seen neither in action and just wanted to try them side by side to get a better understanding. Lighten up. Personally I would just run 8.1 in the end.

Understood. Just settle with 8.1 in the end.
