Re-install question
i have a tri-boot system with 2 hard drives. the 1st HD has windows 7 on it. The other HD has both win 8 installed 1st and then win 8.1 installed on it. If I have to reformat the drive with windows 8 on it and install win 8 again will that affect anything or will it be safe to do?
Plz let me know.
thx

Why bother having Windows 8 & 8.1 side by side? There's so little difference between them.

Cat, I used gparted live and gave each partition about 120gb space and formatted them and installed each on their own partition, will i be ok if just have to -reinstall programs then?YeOldeStonecat wrote:Might have to run a repair with 8.1...depends how you partitioned it out.
You'll have to reinstall programs that were in 8.
Check out virtualization like hyper-v, virtualpc, xen, vmware.....so much easier than the old multi-booting.

Understood. Just settle with 8.1 in the end.24giovanni wrote:Tony, Never used nor saw win 8 or 8.1 before set them and wanted to see the diff. Love 8.1.
