Thinking aobut joining Army
Thinking aobut joining Army
What do you guys think, went to the recruiter 2day, and it all seemd good. still 17 and have to talk to parents, but i dotn know what to do. Reserves and go to school. Or enlist and wait for school. Or go to school and no army at all.
Im getting responses from college in a couple weeks
Going into engineering in school, and in the army i would be either the light vehical mechanic or heavy

I was thinking more of reserves actually. I plan to do the light weight mechanic, but newayz, i dont know when to allot the time. i need at least 9 weeks, but with college coming up next year, i dont know what to do. I dont wanna do it this summer, so what do u think taking the 1st semester off in the sophmore year and do it then along with summer
.....
You might consider the world situation before you make this decision as you might not make college next year. There's people we know that got The Call last month to be ready to go to Kuwait, but then it was called off at the last minute.
These same people got The Call yesterday and are going to Kuwait tomorrow.

If he is joining I'm sure he has in mind the possiblilty of war. I'd say join, if we go to war now you probably wouldnt be in it anyway. You would still be training. Reserves and guard are great and I'm sure you will be able to use the extra $$!.

well a light weigh mechanic wouldn't be at that much danger, and if i was, it wouldbn't be that much of a prob...
10,000$ for school
and i dont know how much u get as a reserve, but as a active person i get like 1200 a month. It might be higher since i am smarter then the average person, and plus i can pass the preliminary fitness test. 2 miles in 16 min and 50 pushups and some situps
