GFX Card(s): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814130475
i currently have the case already i also have a 1TB HD WD there is nothing on it i am going to be running Vista 64bit on the system since i already own the OS i was going to use a EVGA mobo which was a lot cheaper than that asus one but i was told a bunch of bad things about the EVGA like bent pins shorting out etc. im also wanting to get those 2 gfx cards i was told they were really good, i was also told there was some ATI cards where u can run 3 and they were mid range cards that werent too expensive and they would out perform a really high top end card...im not to sure about it though as i haven't heard much about it, im also open to different parts of anything im building to make my gaming rig more stable thanks much i am open to any suggestions thanks for your time and concern.
im open to a AMD build as well...doesnt have to be intel

definitely replace that video card with an ATI 5850...it will blow that nvidia away for the same price.

yea loop what sava said im currently just going to use my spare 1TB HD that is clean in the future i will go with some sort of a raid set up ....ummm as for the mobo i was also thinking maybe a evga one but ive heard tons of bad things about evga with the bent pins etc...was thinking if it was a good idea to stick with that asus mobo or try out that evga and with that new video card is that visiontek company any good? never heard too much about them
evga mobo: but if im going ati then i would obviously need a different mobo then this since it doesnt support crossfire.

Visiontek is fine...here is one with a lifetime warranty for only 10 dollars more.

i was also wondering what are your opinions on an AMD gaming Rig are they as stable as the Intel i use to game with AMD but a couple years ago i switched to Intel....AMD is much cheaper i can afford their top end CPU and its a lot less then Intels top end CPU i was just curious to what you guys think about Gaming with a AMD set up? sorry to be such a bother i appreciate all your help

Intel is by far cheaper and faster than AMD at this time.Genuinely™ wrote:well im only playing World of Warcraft no FPS games for me anymore, so im sure AMD can hold its own with WoW and i would only need a directX 10 card since wow is still using directX 9
And I'd stick with Nvidia for a graphics card, the driver support is just much much better at the moment. The new series is getting ready to release also which should drive prices down some more on current models.
Nobody says a top of the line AMD processor can't handle wow.. hell my cell phone can handle WowGenuinely™ wrote:hmm idk i thought AMD was still cheaper than Intel....top mobos for amd are around 200 and top cpu is around 200 for AMD and im sure AMD can handle a non FPS game like WoW

But you pick out a AMD chip and I'm sure any one of us can find you a Intel chip faster and cheaper

^haha true, i may just wait a week or two i still need to do tons of research i for sure want a i7 920 cpu i just dont know any good motherboard to combo with it and i would like one really good gfx card since wow wont really need 2 lol..so i find it a wase to get 2 cards and run sli/crossfire i would like around 6gbs of tri chan ram 12800 pref. psu i picked out the 750W Earthwatts Antec
any clue as to how long? im in need of an upgrade but can definitely wait a bit.Sava700 wrote:Intel is by far cheaper and faster than AMD at this time.
