24" Dell UltraSharp 2408WFP coupon code...

Post by Brk »

24" Dell Ultrasharp 2408WFP Widescreen LCD for $395.10 plus free shipping (normally $549 - use coupon code XTHR0RQRXJHQ12).

Per Gizmodo. I've always liked Dell's UltraSharps, very nice screens, well-made.

I still have mine from years ago. It's gone a little pink with age, but it still runs like a champ.

I found a Dell Business code a few weeks ago for this to put it at 385$ free shipping but I'm still waiting for a lower code or price cause its still too high. I've got a new ergotron arm ready for it and everything.

Thanks Burke

I had purchased a new Dell 24" Dell UltraSharp 2408WFP on July 9th and had asked if there where any coupons out or forthcoming and was advised there where not.

While visiting the site here to see if anything new was out i spotted your post and immediately contacted Dell. This morning i was given a credit to my card for $170 bucks. :)

Thanks again, it is posts like this that are a great help :thumb:

Hi CableDude & YeOldeStonecat

Thought i owed Burke a big Thanks...$170 bucks pays for a lot of new CD's. :thumb:

The weather here has been the worst i can recall. Rain almost daily and cooler than normal as well. I feel sorry for the kids vacation time and those into boating and cottaging or other outdoor pleasures.

Hope your both enjoying your summer. :)

Well back to my little world.

Unfortunately our summer has been wetter and cooler than normal my Northern Friend. They're looking back at the record books on this one.

All things must balance out...hopefully the summer will end on a much nicer note.

Thank you Burke! Although not the monitors listed...I did find upon investigation one that suits my needs as a back up monitor perfectly, at a $60.00 savings! :)

Hi Larry, whenever you feel like popping in we'd love to see you back :)

As for the Ultrasharps, I still use mine as a main monitor as well.

Hi Gixxer & Philip

Thanks Gixxer, kind of you to say.

I do appreciate your invitation Philip, however i think i posted myself out. As to the monitor, my eyesight was getting worse and this 24 incher has certainly made using the computer a lot easier on me. I respect your opinion, so no after shopping for me now. :thumb:

For the money I would go Acer G15. 50000:1 contrast ratio. I have one and I love it. Has an hdmi port so I can play xbox 360 on it as well as pc.

High contrast ratio is mostly a bogus stat when it comes to monitors.

I meant g24 sorry. The Acer may be a little better for gaming. But the dell has it's perks too. Both are good monitors. I like my g24 a lot.

The high contrast numbers(dynamic contrast ratios) aren't bogus, but are tested in an ideal or perfect environment. It does add confusion to the mix. Just as Acer's ACM tech does, that supposedly adjusts the ratio as need.

In some way the numbers all matter though without the identical tests being done to each monitor, a direct comparison of the fact sheets isn't accurate at all times.
