Add them together and that is 2214, so 2,000,000 would be about 1000 times the number you originally stated.

Sorry I don't know why I am arguing this :)

It is certainly not like I am defending the Klan

I already cleared up the misconception, De Plano. But thanks for the further clarification. If you wanted to add the original leader's kill count in with the clan's then it would be around 2 million. I guess the guy was just a bastard.

EDIT: Changed "over" to "around". Don't want to get something wrong around here or people will jump on you like a pack of wild wolves.

I didn’t start the thread so that members here could pass judgment on each other, I mistakenly thought we were all adult enough to have a civil conversation about it.

It is impossible. It was a nice try. I always thought it was a good topic to discuss.

Racism is alive and well on this site.
The tools of conquest do not necessarily come with bombs and explosions and fallout. There are weapons that are simply thoughts, attitudes, and prejudices to be found only in the minds of men. For the record, prejudices can kill and suspicion can destroy and a thoughtless, frightened search for a scapegoat has a fallout all of its own for the children and the children yet unborn and the pity of it is that these things cannot be confined to the Twilight Zone.

Maybe, maybe not.

I’m just saying how I see it from my side the keyboard. We all know that the way I see things and the way they really are, are often two completely different things altogether.

Sweety, you are not the only one. The written word can be taken out of context. We all do it.

However, there are some things both written and spoken that mean the same.

I am a Floridian that has resided within the Bible Belt my whole life. My Profile has been set as is since I joined and I will not remove where I reside for this thread or comments I am about to make.

Racism is ridiculous and it gets under my skin when I hear of any hate crime. A great friend of mine, and his parents who I love with all my heart have been asked to join the KKK. This is not a hoax. (please excuse me, I am not the greatest with grammar and am very tired) When I say asked to join the KKK, I mean invited to a meeting, provided documentation with a *EDITED COUNTY* OFFICIAL County Seal outlining the "rules", basically, along with what was required to uphold the Klan's way, etc. Oh yeah, they also wanted a picture of each family member, going from my friends dad's parents, all the way down to the grand kids. And people within the KKK are also very big with Jesus Christ. Anyhow, these people, and I will say these people for I am totally disgusted by them, these people are upholding many of the higher positions within this county, the decision makers, and even judges. They operate behind the scenes and do not blatantly show their colors as they once did many years ago. They perform in many illegal acts, and one I know for a fact, drug transportation, to support their goals.

Anyhow, my dear beloved friends are not into Racism, though the father I do believe is racist, but would never take it to the extreme as the KKK (tho he has worked for them as a puppet moving drugs before), but I believe one of the main reasons they were invited is because of their family history. Myself, and a few others, including a few in their family, have done the whole genealogy on his family's name, particular his father's side, and his great grandfather was indeed a slave owner... a picture of him on the front porch (very stereotypical), in a rocking chair, shotgun across the lap, bottle of whiskey, and two "******s" chained to the front porch post. Caption read: Here sits *removing Name of Grandfather*, ****** Joe, and ****** John

My point is... they are still around, KKK, and still influencing their kids, etc. I know the Judges' kids... although the eldest is a drug addict and has no ties with his family now, and does not mind blacks-- I do believe half of his issues stem from being forced, pressured into believing what his father does. The other younger siblings are more spoiled, and very much racist, sad. Either way, it is being forced, taught, whatever you may, to todays age society, and will never be forgotten and carried on forever.

Time to hit the sack. Enjoy.

I thought my profile pin-pointed where I resided. I believe I changed it whenever I got into trouble and had posted a few legal questions. I am no longer ignorant with the law. I had a great attorney who knew the judge, DA, assist DA, and who also is involved with the KKK... I believe he knew I knew something, regardless, screw em all for Ill be out of this county soon enough :thumb:

ARS, a friend of mine, who luckily beat the racism addiction, inherited receipts from when his family bought slaves. It’s a trip to see when people were bought and sold as a commodity.

I have a busboy that I work with. He is from eastern India.
I have a cook that I work with. He is from western Bangladesh.

They both speak the same dialect of a language. But, No, no, no, they don't get along that much.

I here about all the racism about wasp's and peeeps of darkest skin. But, you don't mention, the french, the hispanics, the Irish(Don't get me started on the Irish.) and the abo's, aboriginals.

Anyway, these 2 dudes look like brothers, married to the same sister, act in a way towards each other in a manner that could be taken as racist. It's all about the hate, the comming of the devil. Whatever happened to....Love, Love, Love.

A racist joke in itself is a fight between good and evil.

Hope you friends Mom gets better ARS. Good wished and sweet prayers.

Haggis, it is not just about black and white. We are aware that racism covers a huge territory. There is so much to discuss. The thread has not been in existence for a long enough period to even touch base on the other aspects of the topic.

Your right... but it was apparently up long enough for one person to flat out judge someone or a few here of being racist. Funny how one can rightfully judge someone sitting behind a username without ever knowing them in person.

Not talking about you either...

It trips me out how people in the US rag on the French sometimes. We bought the Louisiana Purchase from them, which makes up a huge portion of our country. They gave us the Statue of Liberty as a gift. Some of the French underground fought hard during WWII. They are victims of stereotyping too.

Here in the New Orleans metro area we have a large amount of Cajun-French, a lot of the street names and places are French. Even a lot of our food has a French influence.

I’m Irish and German. Part of my family came from what’s known as the “Irish Channel” around here.

I’m sure there are plenty of stereotypes for every race.

So far I haven't really seen any intelligent discussion about this at all.

Is racism alive and well? Yes. And there's plenty of blame to go around, even with those that claim to NOT be racist.

For example: The government has perpetuated one of the greatest scams to keep racism alive for decades. Affirmative action does nothing more than keep the issue alive and perpetuate the belief that people are different because of race.

More recently, an individual claims he was suspended from medical school because he had the audacity to claim he was an African American. His crime? He's white. Huh? Oh yes, he was born in Mozambique. So he IS an African American. But those that have laid claim to African American think it should be those that are only black? Who's the racist here?

As long as you have entire segments of society that want to peg people with what race or color they are, you'll still continue to have issues with racism. It's perpetuated at all levels, and we're all guilty of it. Until society as a whole ceases to categorize people by their skin color or race, it will never go away.

They need to pull the race question off of a lot of forms that we fill out. It is totally unnecessary.
