@home cable sucks very bad....please read in and help me
When I got @home a year ago i recieved download speeds around 400kpbs, now i do about 5kbps. I can only download at 3-4kbps on ftps and my upload speeds are 5-6kbps. I have no packet loss and my internet connection is fine. I dont know what it could be.....maybe my card I have no clue below is some results i got from test sites..maybe this can help you out..
--------------------------------------
TCP options string = 020405b401010402
MTU = 1500
MTU is at optimal value
MSS = 1460
Maximum useful data in each packet = 1460, which seems to be equal to MSS.
Default Receive Window (RWIN) = 17520
RWIN Scaling (RFC1323) = 0 bits
Unscaled Receive Window = 17520
RWIN is a multiple of MSS
Other values for RWIN that might work well with your current MTU/MSS:
513920 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 8)
256960 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 4)
128480 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 2)
64240 (MSS x 44)
bandwidth * delay product:
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 700.8 kbps (87.6 KBytes/s) @ 200ms
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 280.32 kbps (35.04 KBytes/s) @ 500ms
MTU Discovery (RFC1191) = true
Time to live = 117 hops
Timestamps (RFC1323) = false
Selective Acknowledgements (RFC2018) = true
IP type of service field = 00000000
-----------------------------------
TOAST.net
Broadband Test (Results)
Loaded 1,000,000 bytes in 18.07 seconds.
--------------------------------------
Is there any patches that could help me or maybe I need to change some settings...and help would be appreciated...

Man....@home has a lot of problems out this way in Michigan. I have two computers hooked up to my cable modem through a LinkSys 5 port workgroup switch. Each computer has its own IP. Now whats messed up is that my -A computers domain is right outside of town. My -B computers domain is in Illinois! On top of that the one -B computer has a faster connection than the one that connects right next door. I battle with tech support on a weekly basis. Both computers have a problem with throughput and they download in spurts. It goes *fast, nothing, fast, nothing, fast, nothing* When tech support tries to reach my modem they cant find it. On top of that when they ping my gateway it comes back with a request timout, then comes back up. The woman i was on the phone with at this time told me to split the cable a couple times because the signal might be to strong (I wanted to slap her for her ignorance, i know this is a little rough but she is suposedly a tier 3 tech whatever that means) I told her that was BS and that the problem was on their end and they should fix it. But no, anything to get the blam off of them and she tells me that she will send someone out to look at the line. I told her that theres no way that a line tech is going to fix a friggin gateway by looking at my line. I knew more about their network than they did. Maybe i should get a job there and actually help people. Plus look at my first hop, i believe this should be to mydomain or somthing, im still learning about this stuff so i may be off about a couple things.

This is the computer that connects out of illinois. I know it looks fine which is why im having such a problem with @home because they never see it. The call i mentioned above is the only time they found anything. I asked them if they could monitor my connection or even the gateway. She said that they are not responible for that and they have team that does that kind of thing. She said she would put in a request. She also said the infamous "We will call you" which of course has not happened.
This is a speed test from dslreports that shows my domain as being in illinois

Thank god for Kevin the tech, after going through several morons i finally called and got a tech who knew what was wrong the second i told him. It turns out that sometimes the software in control assighning ips and domains likes to mess up every now and then which is what happened to me. He couldnt believe that nobody else had known this. From what he says in order to fix it they have to delete and make the account over again. But i was right as to what was wrong. So anyone with this problem now knows whats up. Im also getting remberst for the whole time my ticket was active which goes all the way back to January!
Has anyone read the article over at Navas on how to remove@home proxy setting - I don't have @Home but it's something to read- Navas -http://cable-dsl.home.att.net
