RIP the Great Communicator.

“The most beautiful thing we can experience in life is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead: for his eyes are closed.” - Albert Einstein

Reagan's body was expected to be taken to his presidential library and museum in Simi Valley, Calif., and then flown to Washington to lie in state in the Capitol Rotunda. His funeral was expected to be at the National Cathedral, an event likely to draw world leaders. The body was to be returned to California for a sunset burial at his library.

I liked him back then, and I miss him now...
He did what he said, and didn't take no B.S. from anyone
(remember that news reporter that he told to "just shut up")
I hope he is finally is at peace,
after that long battle with Alzheimer's Disease...
My GrandFather had this and it utterly destroyed him.
That's is why the protein folding that everyone
does here is really important, for finding a cure...

I was in college during his presidency. It is no surprise that I thoroughly detested his policies. However, Reagan was a fine man with an excellent sense of humor, brilliant communication skills and a great ability in assigning tasks to his advisors. If nothing else, he had Americans holding their heads high after years of of embarassment with Vietnam, Watergate and malaise.
Rest in peace, President Reagan

I want to learn more and more to see as beautiful what is necessary in things; then I shall be one of those who make things beautiful. Amor fati: let that be my love henceforth! I do not want to wage war against what is ugly. I do not want to accuse; I do not even want to accuse those who accuse. Looking away shall be my only negation. And all in all and on the whole: some day I wish to be only a Yes-sayer.
