Had to put another Motherboard in my P4 Northwood. Had trouble finding a board online that would use my same memory as well as the Northwood.
Mine would boot but would just shut down for no reason. Doing great now. Good luck

My Photosmart printer install the above and now on boot up I get a box I have to click on to continue the boot to Windows. How can I get rid of these coming up on boot up and what is the .net framework used for thru my printer?? Thanks

What would you suggest as a replacement for my computer for gaming. Is the Intel 955x board with Pentium D 840 3.2GHz Open for suggestions. Want something with PCI express and SATA so if I upgrade hard drive and video card later. Guess my AGP video card will not work on the newer boards like this ...

Nothing in registry where you said to look with 1420 MTU. Use no router, NIC is built into Gigabyte motherboard (Realtek), Local Area Connection in Network connections and will not delete or even give option to delete, no sharing enabled, Nothing checked under LAN. Must be that ISP or modem they ...

MCCOFFEE, I have Network Connections in Control Panel, but it will not let me delete it. I am not on Network or LAN or router, just cable modem. Ready to give up and leave it at 1420 MTU and MSS 1380!!!

Did the reg search you said but found nothing of a 1420. Have also do a format and install of XP, so should not been anything left from Bellsouth ISP. Even after this MTU and MSS will not change. Wonder if cable company has done something to Motorola modem.

SG Optomizer & Mr. Coffee
Like I said at the start Mr. Coffee, TCP_SG Optomizer what ever you want to call it, will not change the MTU and MSS from what I reported. Tried it several, several times. Any other ideas on how to get it changed to 1500 MTU and 1460 MSS????? Thanks

From Bellsouth DSL to Cable
Switched to cable today and have run TCP Optimizer but as you see it does not change MTU or MSS, just RWIN is all that it will change. Using Motorola SB5100 model from cable ISP. Any idea on how to change MTU to 1500 and to change MSS?? TCP Optimizer will not change it.

Mr. Coffee, Installed the new SP2 RC1 and it has changed window size to 64240 from what I have it set at 63888. It still shows it as 63888 where I have always manualy set it in the registry. Changing to 63888 just made the Pushed data packets go up to 5 instead of 2, is only difference it seemed to make. Thanks McCoffee!!!!
