ok here it is I was away for a bit but these are the results from the test

Dose anyone know of a command for a bat file or a way to start up tcpip in Windows XP form a ramdisk or did i miss this in a previous post or is this even possible in XP. "net start" dose not seem to work for me in XP. :confused:

Ok I disabled Zone alarm and made sure none of it's compentents were running in the background also made sure i did'nt have a the windows corprate firewall running but still can't get the the tcp page. The page that i am getting when clicking on the link has this HTML code. :confused:

When I try to do a tcp test it just leads me to a page that says "Error retrieving Options" with white background i have no idea why it dose this :confused:

Rogers High Speed

I there Knowledgeable people my ISP is Rogers High Speed my down up caps are 1500/192. The problem is my speed has realy slowed down a lot in the last couple of weeks like down to half the speed i should be getting can any one help me please

Hmm are you sure your not behide a proxy in your Browser type your ip that its telling you into google if a buch of stuff shows up you are probaly using a proxy just a idea it might work. your speed can also be affected by the distance you are from the main office but 40kb seems a little slow for a ...

1 hi there sludge try this bellow first

if that dose not work then try this
2 go to command prompt type "ipconfig /release" that should give you some info then type "ipconfig /renew" this might help then try the Tcp/Ip Analyzer test. I not a mod here or anything but this once workewd for me

Ok i did the OOL FTP test and it sat at 358Kb/s anyways due you think i have to change me cable nut setting or do you think they look alright

The OOL FTP test is down and the AOL FTP test just downloads a file dose not realy give me a idea of my speed since it verys server to server. But i did a test at http://nyc.speakeasy.net/ is that a good one i am in Ontario so i did the new york test in your links. I will also post my current Cable ...

MTU

Ok i think i read somewhere on the site that i had to have the correct MTU to get proper help with tweaking my connection. I also read some where on the site that Sympatico's MTU should be 1492. I am also only getting 64% of the speed i should be getting. ;)

Ok up to a week a go my rogers was very fast up to 3.2mb/s on Bandwidth Place speed test now it is around half that at 1.5 mb/s. The other thing is that my connection only seems to be letting me only connect to 28 or so IP addresses ...
