Post by Mcraez »

I am not to sure about this but has rogers high speed uped there download stream today. I am getting 3.2mb downstream now and yesterday and long before that i was only getting about 2mb. I wounder if it has something to do with it being Labour Day because a lot of people are away? Or hopefully they picked this day to ugrade there systems because it is a low traffic day?
Let me know what you think.

Your raw speed was 3130865.45 bits per second which is the same as:

Communications

3.1 megabits per second
How communication devices are rated. Kilo means 1,000 and mega means 1,000,000. Examples include 56k modem and 10Mbit Ethernet

Storage

382.2 kilobytes per second
The way data is measured on your hard drive and how file sharing and FTP programs measure transfer speeds. Kilo is 1,024 and mega is 1,048,576.

1MB file download

2.7 seconds
The time it would take you to download a 1 megabyte file at this speed.

TCP properties for IP = 63.xxx.xxx.xx ()
Browser/OS = Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; Rogers Hi-Speed Internet)
Notes: Read the Analyzer FAQ if the above is not your IP address.

TCP options string = 020405b401010402
MTU = 1500
MTU is fully optimized for broadband.
MSS = 1460
Maximum useful data in each packet = 1460, which equals MSS.

Default Receive Window (RWIN) = 32120
RWIN Scaling (RFC1323) = 0 bits
Unscaled Receive Window = 32120

RWIN is a multiple of MSS
Other values for RWIN that might work well with your current MTU/MSS:
513920 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 8)
256960 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 4)
128480 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 2)
64240 (MSS x 44)
bandwidth * delay product:

Your RcvWindow limits you to: 1284.8 kbps (160.6 KBytes/s) @ 200ms
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 513.92 kbps (64.24 KBytes/s) @ 500ms
MTU Discovery (RFC1191) = ON
Time to live left = 56 hops

TTL value is ok.
Timestamps (RFC1323) = OFF
Selective Acknowledgements (RFC2018) = ON
