help me. i can access with other pc i see other pc but when i open one workgroup ...i cannot access.. can u help me how to share pc to other pc...

i could launch an apps using windows scheduler... how bout terminating/exiting it on a certain date/week/day/hour.. etc. thanks

I need to render a workgroup invisible or inaccessible from other computers on the network.

The scenario is that my neighbor wants to connect his pc in our lan... and i dont want him to see the rest of our workgroups (just view his), is that possible?

is there a tweak to lessen too much waiting? it takes about 10 secs before the page begins to load.

i know it's not a dns issue bec the "Finding Site" only takes less than a second.

thanks, but those ghost workgroups still haunts my lan for more than a week now. and i dont have much knowledge in networking, and what is browser election anyway? is that a thing that is should disable? if so, how? pls bear with me.

there are only two workgroups in my lan, one named "master" (thats my pc connected via dsl) & the other one is "mistress" (the workstations' workgroup). now, how come i see seven other ghost workgroups namely: "ttan", "workgroup", "gamenet"... etc...

i have done several reboots. but the ghosts ...

btw, in your site dslnuts.com, do you have css (CABLENUT_UPDATE.exe) for 256/256 sdsl. i was thinking of forwarding the file to our sysad so that "maybe" once he applied the program, everything now is tweaked ...

Yes, all pc's are connected onto a central server using windows nt 4 on dsl 256/256.

I was thinking of tweaking that server instead, but the sysad did not allow me to do so. So i decided just to do the tweaking in my lan.
