NIC settings suggestion, pls

Hi there...

I need to know any good nic settings for 3com EthrLink 10/100 PCI NIC (3C905B-TX). Can someone suggest w/c to enable or disable... I'm on sDSL 256/256, Windows NT 4 ws w/ Wingate as proxy.

Rx Checksum Offload = Enable or Disable ··>

BTW, this nic is the one connected to our ISP.

enable all... except for 802.1p :)

for Media Type, 10 half or full will do, but i prefer calling ur isp first.

But with those settings my internet become sluggish. Are there such settings w/c shoudnt be enabled?

I'm on sdsl @ 256, Sygate Pro 5.1 & Wingate 4.5.3 (as proxy for my clients)

disable rx/tx checksum offloading. also, if u hav d following in ur registry:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters]

DisableTaskOffload

set it to 1, to disable nic processor :)
