I'm assuming since it put the four files into the ramdisk that its now working like its suppose to. I have to run the batch file each time I reboot. I've run ping tests but the pings seem about the same but the latency does seem to have lowered.

I finally got it to work. I installed the ramdisk using another software. After I rebooted from making the key changes I noticed that the bat file didn't do its job. I double clicked on it like you mentioned before and it ran and put the four files on the ram disk and my connection started up.

Okay, so I'm suppose to change the 4 regedit keys (afd, tcpip, ipnat, netbt) to include the "\??\Z:\" in front of each one?

After doing that and rebooting I continue to lose access to my Z drive. No matter how many times I reboot or reinstall the ramdisk it won't let me use it. If I change my keys ...

I don't have zonealarm. The problem looks to be that its still showing as a .txt file and not as a batch file with the gear in the icon.

I resaved it and got it to save as a batch but I'm still not seeing anything in the Z drive other than the temp internet folder.

Another question for you. I'm not seeing any other folders or files in my Z drive other than my temporary internet folder. I would have guessed that something would show for the TCPIP stuff. Why is that?

Hmmm, very odd stuff. I uninstalled and installed a few times, each time rebooting to see if it took. The first few times I got nothing, just the same error. Then this last time it booted and it shows up with the temporary internet file still listed in it. I had checked when the Z file wasnt showing ...

Okay, I get it now. Only problem now is that my Z drive stoped working. It says its not accessable now. What do you think?

Yeah, I put it in the startup, rebooted, pulled it out and edited and placed it in C:/ as stated in the guide. Should I have just left it in startup?

That's all I have to do? So I just reboot and it should be running?

Okay, I'm up to step 24 which states "In the window the pops up over that look for the "Group Policy" snap in."

There isn't a "Group Policy" listed but there is a "Local Users and Groups." I assumed that was it so I tried to do Step 25 but I got a message saying:

This computer is running Windows ...

What's confusing me is that the guide you posted seems to go step by step in setting up the ramdisk. Because I already have the ramdisk set up thanks to the AR software, I need to know where in the guide that I need to go from. Maybe I'm over thinking this but I just want to be sure of what I'm ...

I used that AR and have my temporary internet files directed to my Z drive but I'm still unclear as to how to place the other things in it such as tcp stuff. Any help would be appreciated.

After running this software is there anything more that I have to do? I ask this because I don't see anything appearing in the temp folder that was created on the new drive that it created.
