Have the new cable modem gone to 100/TBase/

I am on roadrunner and went to there new web phone service. They came out and put a new modem in.The cable from the moden to the wan port reads it as a 100/Tbase not the old 10 Tbase. Same thing if I put it in a switch. Any body know if old 10/T base modems are on it way out.

I think I would lose the hub and add a switch. You will allways have lag on a hub with more than one computer running through it when you try to play online games.

Low ping with lag tell me that something is going on in your computer. My best guess would be a spy ware program running in the background. If it's not that I would look at your firewall program and see if it has a filter running or even a virus program running.Try this go to http://www.pcpitstop.com ...

That hard to say, I think you need to look at what your ISP has you cap at.If you are close to the cap with good ping then a new modem will do very little.Something you should do is tweak your system . That may do more for you than a new modem.
