You da bomb!
2003-02-24 21:46:01 EST: 1368 / 125
Your download speed : 1368738 bps, or 1368 kbps.
A 167 KB/sec transfer rate.
Your upload speed : 125608 bps, or 125 kbps.
Seems like broadband .. above the 1mbit barrier!

Ok :)

1. Cable
2. dunno (comcast.net)
3. Everything looks good on the test except what I posted above.
4. Speeds range from 1000-1400 kb/sec.

My last test was:

"764 / 121" - Speakeasy (Atlanta)
"1158 / 124" - Speakeasy (Boston)

Running XP.

What would changing the RWIN do? Since it is low ...

Can someone explain this.

What would this do to improve speed?

Default Receive Window (RWIN) = 32767
RWIN Scaling (RFC1323) = 0 bits
Unscaled Receive Window = 32767
For optimum performance, consider changing RWIN to a multiple of MSS.
Other values for RWIN that might work well with your current MTU/MSS:
513920 (MSS x ...

sad settings at work.

I just did a speed test on DSL Reports from work. This was the result.

Test running..........
** Speed 233(down)/194(up) kbps **
(At least 4 times faster than a 56k modem)
Finish.

and here is the test from Speak Easy:

Test running..........
** Speed 240(down)/246(up) kbps **
(At least 4 times ...

I use USB port simply because I can't seem to get this Linksys 5-Port Workgroup Hub to work. When I plug in ethernet cord, no activity lights come on. It's not the Hub. Dunno what else it is... 3rd Hub, same result.

toast.net

When testing my modem with the toast.net (Columbus, OH
OARnet), I get outragously fast connections, but the rest are slower. So, is it just the sites I am using?

Low compression test result: 1126 K
Medium compression test result: 1902 K (have hit 2001 K)
High Compression test result: 1871 K

But it ...

I have a P3 500MHZ, 128meg of ram and using Win XP. My test on dslreports is SUPER slow, but when using the analyzer, I got this:

TCP options string = 020405b40103030201010402

MTU = 1500
MTU is fully optimized for broadband.

MSS = 1460
Maximum useful data in each packet = 1460, which is equal ...

Too bad I'm limited to USB. I have a linksys 5-port Workgroup Hub and whenever I plug anything up to it, no activity lights come on. Seems only the uplink slot works (3rd hub, same result), so it has to be something wrong with settings.
