I had a DFI board that required one more small 4 pin hookup...so just saying ya never know.
But if you've reseated everything, and you've pulled the board out of the case and layed it on a table hooked up and yet it still doesn't show a video signal even on another LCD screen then you do have ...

Well give it a shot.. and even though it says 650w, it may not have the proper 12volt rails to run a high end card... I think the 9800GTX models require around 38amps on a single rail. Also as I said before make sure you have ALL power connections hooked up on the motherboard, some boards require ...

Issues with a new PC build
Hey guys,
I attempted to build a new HTPC last weekend and have had nothing but troubles. I've built about 10+ computers before, so this is puzzling me.
Basically, on boot, all fans go, the hard drive kicks up and the mobo lights up just fine. Everything looks good, but I get no video. I didn't ...

AMD Athlon XP 2700+ (clocked at 2.15 ghz)

When you enable it make sure nothing is connected to the USB ports. Some USB devices will cause XP to hang on a reboot or bootup. If plugged in after windows boots up they work fine. Dame that would be a real pain if it was a scanner or printer.

When the USB is enabled through BIOS the computer won't boot into winxp, it just hangs there. I've tried searching for a USB update for the board itself, but came up with no such luck. Was considering formatting but it's not really an option as this isn't my computer, I feel like winxp is just being ...

1.15 GHz to be exact.
Why is that? A friend of mine said that there could be a toggle on the motherboard itself, but i've done some reading and haven't found such a thing. Other issues I was thinking about was A) RAM which is a Kingston Value Ram 512MB or B) Power, but I doubt its that as I've got ...

I've got a Toshiba Protege 3010ct lying here that I've come to the conclusions that either it needs a new backlight, or its dead. I can compare the screen to a Gameboy Advanced when in the dark, it's hard to see and I don't think it can be a contrast/brightness issue because of the lack of controls ...
