I had a DFI board that required one more small 4 pin hookup...so just saying ya never know.

But if you've reseated everything, and you've pulled the board out of the case and layed it on a table hooked up and yet it still doesn't show a video signal even on another LCD screen then you do have ...

Well give it a shot.. and even though it says 650w, it may not have the proper 12volt rails to run a high end card... I think the 9800GTX models require around 38amps on a single rail. Also as I said before make sure you have ALL power connections hooked up on the motherboard, some boards require ...

Issues with a new PC build

Hey guys,

I attempted to build a new HTPC last weekend and have had nothing but troubles. I've built about 10+ computers before, so this is puzzling me.

Basically, on boot, all fans go, the hard drive kicks up and the mobo lights up just fine. Everything looks good, but I get no video. I didn't ...

Weird OS/Installation issues (possibly Hardware?)

Hey all,

I decided this weekend to format my Vista partition (sitting on an intel SSD) to install Win7 (RC) to test it out before I make the plunge and actually purchase Win7. Well, needless to say, I was thoroughly enjoying my experience, except for the fact that it would lock up after 3-5 ...

I've been having problems with this machine back at home, it's a fairly decent computer, with an Asus A7N8X mobo and an XFX graphics card (not too sure of its specs, its been awhile since I built it) anyway, the guy has been giving me loads of trouble lately. Right now, he will boot up ...

ASUSTeK A7V8X-X which seems to be locked into AMD Athlon XPs and Socket A processors
