I have another laptop that has Win7, that i use for day-to-day things.

This laptop im using to play games on. And the game im playing at the moment is an old game, which runs incredibly smoother and faster on WinXP and single-core.

Dell XPS M1530 is the model.

I have done the above and am now on Windows XP. But im missing some drivers.

PCI Device, Network Controller and Biometric Coprocessor.

The Coprocessor i think is for the fingerprint reader on my laptop, which i dont use so not fussed about that.

Even without the network controller, i can get ...

Im assuming Partition1 on /E drive is the WinXP CD.

-: Partition1[FAT] is a partition that is on the system default, i cannot format this partition or edit it in anyway. Is it serving a purpose?

Okay, this has worked. So i now have4 Partitions.

So ATA is a Legacy setting, right... I'll give it a whirl. Thanks!

There was no Legacy setting. Just ATA and AHCI (Enabled - As Default).

Okay ill check for Legacy settings. Im just being cautious with what i do now as, i recently reinstalled the Vista OS which left me without Network Adapters and Ethernet Controllers and other such drivers. I was without internet which made solving my problems difficult ..
