No thanks, I was just expecting an answer that would explain to me that DWORD is not necessary in my case for such or such reason.

While we're at it, 2 more questions :-)
1) should I right-click on the .reg file and
then select Merge, or should-I just double-
click on the .reg file ?
2) after applying this patch, does this mean
that when I run regedit, and access the:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion ...

Cablenut, a small question,
I just d-loaded SpeedGuide WebPatch (W98SE)
and I was wondering if I can just unzip-it in
a Temp folder, right click and install the
patch, and then delete the file...
Or should I unzip-it in a permanent folder,
and leave-it there after applying the patch?

Hi Lobo, I installed the patch, and ran the
test, and you told-me that all was O.K.
I then browsed through Cablenut's forum, and
'kinda' understood that in this registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings]
I should have these settings written ...

How do you diagnostic this:
TCP options string = 020405b40103030201010402

MTU = 1500
MTU is fully optimized for broadband.

MSS = 1460
Maximum useful data in each packet = 1460, which is equal to MSS.

Default Receive Window (RWIN) = 204400
RWIN ...

I've just installed the 386 file, and rebooted my system..
then I installed cablenut 4.0 and I am about to follow your instructions..
click on css files...then click on cable

O.K. Lobo, I re-ran the downloaded zip file
and installed-it in Program Files..
It created a file called sguide_webtweek.reg
Then I right-clicked on this file and selected MERGE..
It asked "are you shure that you want to copy to the registry..." and I selected YES.

Lobo, I noticed that you tell members to
unzip the speed-patch in program files,
I unzipped mine in a temp folder, then I merge the file, and then I delete it !!...
Is there a problem to this ??

Oh man, thaksalot for taking care of me!!
I just d-loaded the "sguide_default_9x.zip"
file, and am about to extract and run-it!!
If you read my previous post CAREFULLY, you
will notice that I already have 'patched' my
system with the 'speed' patch !!!
What I wanted to know is how to REMOVE the

Hi, just d-loaded and installed this patch,
and did not backup my registry (shi#%#)
Is there any way for me to manually change
my registry to what it was???
What does the patch do exactly ?!?
