Cablenut 4.0 patch

Hi Lobo, I installed the patch, and ran the
test, and you told-me that all was O.K.
I then browsed through Cablenut's forum, and
'kinda' understood that in this registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings]
I should have these settings written:
"MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server"=dword:00000020
"MaxConnectionsPerServer"=dword:00000010
Is this right or not?
Cuz I shure don't have any of this anywhere!?

Use speedguide's "web patch" to fix this problem.

Cablenut, a small question,
I just d-loaded SpeedGuide WebPatch (W98SE)
and I was wondering if I can just unzip-it in
a Temp folder, right click and install the
patch, and then delete the file...
Or should I unzip-it in a permanent folder,
and leave-it there after applying the patch?

While we're at it, 2 more questions :-)
1) should I right-click on the .reg file and
then select Merge, or should-I just double-
click on the .reg file ?
2) after applying this patch, does this mean
that when I run regedit, and access the:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings]
I should have these settings written:
"MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server"=dword:00000020
"MaxConnectionsPerServer"=dword:00000010

Sir, why not just enter values in Cablenuts adjuster, click save to registry, reboot, your done

O.K. Lobo, when I enter the value
do I enter: dword:00000020
or I enter: 00000020

Can you tell me what that " DWORD:" stands-for then?!?

No thanks, I was just expecting an answer that would explain to me that DWORD is not necessary in my case for such or such reason.

trying to stay at the top of my game...

specialize in Very, very high voltage exterior output devices...
I have enough to learn (and teach) in my trade.
I do have 116 full-time employees!

Well if you are going to play with values you need to know the difference between a string value and Dword value

I know... I know what you mean Lobo, like always, you're only trying to help..
The thing is, I had no interest in playing with values...
I just wanted to apply a patch to make my internet connection a little faster..
For a guy like me, you're a guru !
I'm contempt to do just what you tell-me to
to do, so I wrote 99 without the DWORD:
I will continu reading through threads to try and learn, but I will certainly NOT rely
on myself to start 'tweekin' anything..
And it's so much more convenient for me to ask YOU about the meaning of DWORD:, than adventuring myself in MSN knowledge-Base, and
hope that I understood enough to apply anything in my registry from what was written there.
After all, all I want to achieve is to write
a value the right way to tweek my connection!

It would take forever to type it all out, but in Cablenuts adjuster, never put the word string or Dword in it, just the number, it does the rest
