Nice overclock you got there. I also have a XP1600. With mine i hit 2005mhz running 10.5x191. This is on a locked XP1600 so I can't play with teh multiplier at all. I was using a voltage of 1.95 on my Epox 8K3A+. Its running nice and cool at around 41C. There sure is a nice batch of XP1600's out ...

Yea. I'm not even using port 21. I'm using port 8989. Some people can connect to it fine if they don't use passive mode but i need passive mode to work so that i can use FXP on my ftp server.

Would this port range be the same for my Netgear RT314 router? I've been encountered the same problem as was mentioned above. Thanks

I also have the Netgear RT314 router and I've had no problems with it except for the fact that it somehow shorted out when I unplugged one of the network cables while the router was still on. Luckily I was able to get a new one and it setup very easily and works pretty well.

You could just run an ftp if you wanted to so you could share stuff that way. I know depending on your upload bandwith, that ICQ will not go above 45k/sec when transfering files so you might want to consider that.

If you go to icq then to preference and then to connections, there is a spot where you can say you use a firewall and this should fix your problem. It worked for me with this router.

Thanks

On my computer, I resetted the power to the router, and this allowed me to configure it etc. However it still won't let me access the internet. I can ping 192.168.0.1, 192.168.0.2, and 192.168.0.3. My nic is set to obtain a ip automaticaly. Any ideas?

I'm having the same problem right now with my Netgear RT314. I had removed the router to test out my ftp but when I wanted to hook it back up I couldn't get it to work. I couldn't access the setup or anything. I'm running win2kpro also.

Ok, thats what I was thinking somewhat. However I just noticed that on the Netgear RT314 there is a $30 mail in rebate, so I could buy it for for 129.99-139.99 and It would be around 100 bucks. Would it be worth it to get this and not a hub?

Is it possible to share a Cable modem, using only a hub?

Ok today after finally getting my brothers computer up and running a with a new cpu and vid card etc, it seems as if the crossover cable that we had installed about 4 months ago died. This morning win2k would recognize that the cable was pluged into my 2nd nic. Then later on suddenly it would say ...
