I have the original Digital Rebel and I love it. I'm sure the XT is even nicer. For lenses, The 35mm f2 and 50mm f1.8 cover nearly all of my needs. The 35mm equivalents are 56 and 80 which are the focal lengths I've used the most for over 40 years with film. I have little use ...

I had to get a part at a ford dealer yesterday and on the way out I wandered through their little showroom which had only four cars in it. There was a white GT and three black Saleen Mustangs, all optioned diferently. Prices ran from $45K to $160K.

Not your everyday family cars.

They are a pain in the @ss unless you really need a fixed length ladder that you can fold up to fit in a car. I haven't used mine for 20 years.
