So far I'm not impressed with the performance. In general surfing it apears to be slower and I seem to get more stall outs. I've only run a few performance tests, but the results don't look good. My download speeds have been around 750Kbps-1Mbps which is about half as fast as I was typically getting ...

Linksys Router MIB file
Does anyone know where I can find the MIB file for a Linksys 4-port cable/dsl router? I searched the Linksys web page and did not find it.

I was curious how many different brand of cable modems @home uses in the St. Louis area. I'm served out of the St. Peters office and I was given a COM21 DOXport 111. It seems to work well, but I have no idea how it compares with some of the other modems out there. Does @home offer another model that ...

What are your thoughts on the announcement by AT&T that they will sell their cable customers in St. Louis to Charter Communications? Charter was probably the first cable company in St. Louis to begin offering Internet service, but I don't know if things will be any better for @home customers after ...

I have a Linksys router with firmware revision 1.36. When I use a ping -f -l [packet size] command to determine my largest non-fragmented packet size I get 1472. The "Advanced Registry Tweaks" section of this web site tells me I should set my MaxMTU to 1500 based on these results. Now according to ...

Bud,
Thanks. I went to the dslreports site and tried the upload test there. My speed looked a little more reasonable (just under 120kbps). Download speed measured pretty much the same as on thebandwidthplace.com. I'm not sure why there is such a difference in the upload measurement, but obviously I ...

What kind of upstream speeds are you guys seeing? I've checked mine several times at different times of day. My upload speeds range from about 30Kbits/sec to 48Kbits/sec (using www.thebandwidthplace.com). Ugh, not much faster than my 28.8K dial up. Even ...
