I had a user here go through my logs and even found a way to interface the Ambit 60678EU modem. Bottom line is I need a ...

Charter 10 mb

I just upgraded to Charter's 10 mb package from the 3 mb, which was fine, but being greedy I wanted more. Now I am having wild fluctuations. I just had a user guide me through diagnosing the problem, and was advised to contact Charter for a replacement modem.
My question is should I just purchase a ...

Thank you very much. Should I just purchase my own? If so what brand/model. It's cheaper to purchase your own anyway.
I'm grateful to you for all you've done.
Serious thanks.

there is no info in the user's manual as to interfacing the modem, only instructions on installing drivers in the event you need to use USB.

I have an Ambit, the list only offers info for a DSL modem. I've never been able to get into this one.
BTW, Thanks for all the help.

umm...how do I get a log from my modem? I'm assuming I have to connect the ethernet cable to the modem from the PC, and enter some IP?

this is cable, not DSL. I have no phone other than a cell, and if you check the second speed test it was right back down. I truly think the modem is holding me back. When I had the 3 mb package I was hitting 3.5 consistently.

I just upgraded from 3 with Charter. They guarantee 80% og the 3 over a 24 hour period. I was great until I upgraded, hitting 3.5 most of the time.

Upgrading to Charter 10 mb

I just upgraded to Charter's 10 mb package, but I'm not seeing any increase in speed tests, but it seems faster. I'm using the Charter provided Ambit 60678EU modem, an AMD 4400 X2 with 2048 megs RAM.
Can anyone tell me if I need to upgrade the modem, or do I just need to change settings with TCP ...
