Building new box for VMs
Damn, it's been a long while since I've posted here, and as long since I paid attention to hardware. Been happily plugging away at Microsoft products (living in Exchange/AD as of late on a global migration project). anyways....

P4 Cooler needed
I'm looking for a new P4 (Socket 478) heat sink/fan that doesn't require me to remove the motherboard to install. My OEM cooler is getting a bit loud, I think the fan is crapping out, but I have NO desire to pull everything out of the computer to get the mobo out, all the cables and everything are ...

Hello all....I was a regular on the Hardware forum here, so I figured I'd give this a shot...
I need to incorporate a CDONT Form into a website, and honestly I've been out of the HTML coding loop for a few years. I used to make sites with Notepad, but that's not going to cut it anymore :)

I've been looking at this Samsung Syncmaster 912N to replace my ancient Sony Trinitron Multisync 17sf CRT (nice monitor, but it's got a dead pixel, a dim row, and it's huge).

I'm about to build a new box and I was all set to order an Intel CPU and board, as I'm getting sick of the problems my Epox board is giving me lately. Holy memory prices
I got looked at RAM prices for the heck of it; haven't looked in a long time. I was thinking of adding another PC2700 DIMM to my system to take advantage of dual DDR. So I checked out crucial.com to price another stick of what I already have.

After a few years of Focal (RIP) G.Lite DSL and then sharing my neighbor's SBC DSL service, I'm now back to dialup. yuck.
I need to get some type of broadband service, and being 11000ft from the CO limits me from getting into these 3-6Mbps DL packages.

Another thing to watch out for on the Dell's is sometimes the PSU has a second fan on the side that is actually the CPU fan; there is a shroud that connects to it and covers the CPU heatsink.

I haven't built a new box since last year, so I'm out of the loop on the latest favorite hardware around here.
