Awesome trip to Maine...got engaged!
Had a fantastic time up in Maine. We took Friday off (the girlfriend and I). Dropped her kid off at Providence airport so he coule fly down to Tampa to visit her parents. Then we just kept driving north...into Freeport Maine.
Stayed at a really nice Inn...called the Harraseeket Inn, http://www.harraseeketinn.com
I used to work for the owners...great people....and one very fancy place. Fantastic food! Had sooo much food....excellent wine soaked duck and fois gras the first night there, buffalo steaks, seafood, oysters, mmm....hungry again! We had so many variations of oysters.....oysters in champagn shooter glasses, oysters topped with lemon sorbet, oysters soaked in blush wine, oysters this, oysters that.
Did a lot of shopping in Freeport...got a new set of shades...Serengeti Hurikanu's. Several new pairs of shoes..leisure and dress. Great people up there in Maine....very nice, always very warm.
Hopefully will make it up there again this spring....except this time, back up into the deep deep parts of Maine...Baxster State Park...to go white water rafting again! Did that a couple of years ago. Some serious class 5 rapids up there!

Congrats, on the engagement.
My be a really good woman in order for you to tie the knot again.
Yeah she is.....she's from Calgary, Canada, travels with 11 year old boy from previous marriage. She's done a lot, traveled the country in her youth, been in the Army, settled in Canada, somehow came down here.
Me being married previously also, although no kids, we've just developed such a cool relationship.

on Valentines Day weekend nonetheless....well done.![]()
Yeah, I wasn't sure if I was going to ask on "that" weekend.... being kind of cliche and all...and just the fact that we were alone on the weekend, at a romantic spot...that over-rode the decision.

Congrats on the engagement! But oysters and ice cream? If you both ate one then you really should get married
J/K Cheers to you both!

LOL.....yup. She also owns a Jeep Wrangler, and she's almost as much as a food connosieur (spell?) as I am. She's thinking of selling it, since it's not practical to have two Jeeps. I'm trying to get her to replace it with a Subaru WRX!
The big date? Probably shoot for early summer.
