BF 1942 Problem!

Post by Jin »

I just installed BF 1942 (actually I just reinstalled it) and when I start the game it looks like it's starting but then I go back to the desktop. Does anyone know why?

found this fix, something about using a refresh rate program causes crashes  , well i am not going to change drivers just to play one demo.

plus i like my refresh rate to be under my control

I like the game, but it has serious issues. I dunno, but EA better release a fix for the demo if they want to sell copies of it...

I've been waiting for this kind of concept to come out for ages (usable tanks, boats, planes by more than one person), and now they screw it up.

At least it runs on my machine, though with not so good performance (need to get a new mobo, cpu & ram), but doesn't even start on a friends machine. From what I saw in the EA Battlefield 1942 forums, the demo is a disaster... a LOT of people are having issues.

The game works perfect on my system....hmmmm

Jin...Ive heard that you have to put your refresh rate to 60hz or something like that. Mine works fine on 75hz though...so who knows.

How do I change my refresh rate to 60hz? This better work if not then I'm going back to CS and MOHAA.
