EliteGroup Motherboards

Post by Rainbow »

Anyone know anything about these motherboards. Someone gave me a K7VMA. Onboard sound and video. Is this a decent board worth making a extra puter out of for the kids?? It has an agp slot in case the video isnt the greatest I could toss one in. But dont wanna bother if its a problem board.

Thanx

They are used a lot in "e-machine" type of boxes. They supply Future Power and Mini Micro Supply in New York. Most of their products go into these low end consumer products

if the board works then you're good to go but there is a high DOA percentage

yes .. very good board for kids. I built my 12 year old one with the K7S5A & a Athlon 850. She hasn't had any trouble with it since I gave it to her for Xmas .. nice board!

like YOS said .. no over clocking, it will be a nice solid system.

Someone gave me a ECS system! today w/a P6IWP-Fe motherboard with all the built-in sound/video/lan/modem etc ... & a celey 533 w/64mb ram. It's like one of those E-Machines .. thing looks awsome. Looks like a laptop on it's side on a stand. Comes with a laptop CDrom internal, Maxtor ATA66 15gig, external USB floppy drive & USB in the front & back of the case. Only thing is it had a dead power supply. I found on online for $40.00, 150WATT!!!! thing is small. Gonna order it tomorrow and fire this one up for my 4year old :D
